RABIPELAO
C/de la Mercé 26 (Barri Gòtic) & C/ Riera alta 50 (Rawalistan) & C/ Torrent dén Vidalet 22 (Gràcia)
Metro: Drassanes & Sant Antoni & Joanic
open from Monday to Sunday: 20:30-3:00h (Gòtic) & 19:30-3:00h (Raval) & 19:00-2:30 (Gràcia)
On this point I must be biased: The RABIPELAO is my favorite bar in Barcelona!
After discovering it I 've been to it several times a week and I still take every single friend who comes to visit to have at least one Guarapita drink with me.
The Rabi is a venezuelan cocktail bar with by now three locations in Barcelona: the original cocktail bar in downtown Barrí Gòtic, the 'Rabipeladita' in Raval and the spacious and more quiet one in Gràcia. I like them all, though due to it's location the Rabipeladita in Raval is the most centric one.
The Rabi offers a whole big list of different rums from all over the caribean. Also you can also order venezuelan tapas and small dishes such as empanadas, ceviche and frejoles.
The cocktails have reasonable prices and are freshly prepared. Besides...before 23:00h you pay 1€ less on cocktails.
BAR TRIKINI
C/ Pujades 226 (Poblenou)
Metro: Poblenou
open every day 19-02:00h
"Piscina": Fridays & saturdays 22-03:00h
This bar right next to the metro station ´Poblenou´ has it all figured out:
It is the kind of fun place you can bring friends, family, or your tinder date - everyone will like it!
The beach theme here couldn´t be any more obvious: The whole place is decorated in nostalgic 80-90s Spanish playa nostalgia, with lot´s of hilarious details. And, they have amazing and creative cocktails (from 10€ each), drinks, snacks and their famous ´trikinis´: toasted sandwiches with all sorts of fancy fillings.
But the most curious think is their "Piscina": they have a downstairs dancing bar which can be used as a private party location or opens on Friday and Saturday nights for people who already had enough drinks upstairs. The decoration couldn´t be more authentic and it even smells like an indoor swimming pool.
- total on bill: trikinis around 8€ & cocktails from 10€ each
ROSA DE RAVAL
C/del Angeles 6 (Raval) & Via Laietana 46 (Barri Gòtic)
Metro: Liceu & Plaça Catalunya & Jaume I
open from Monday to Sunday: 13:00-1:30h
Starting with the most important fact here: delicious cocktails for 3,50€!
The ROSA DE RAVAL is a very colorful and lovely decorated mexican bar that serves food and cheap but very tasty
cocktails.
The restaurant & bar has two different locations in the city centre: the Rosa Negra en Vía Laietana y the Rosa de Raval. I recommend the Rosa de Raval just infront of the MACBA (contemporary art museum) though it's the smaller one and you might risk a little queue. Although the food might not be the most creative nor the most authentic mexican the lively atmosphere and the yummy daiquiris and mojitos are more than convincing to visit be Rosa de Raval for a perfect start into a barcelonian party night out.
NOTE!
It has been a while that I not went to the ROSA NEGRA in Vía Laietana but yesterday I fell in love again with their Frozen
Maracuya Margarita - it was pure passion (fruit).
CACHITOS
Rambla Catalunya 33 (Eixample)
Metro: Plaza Catalunya
open every day: 10:00- 3:00h
CACHITOS is an elegant tapas restaurant and a cocktail bar in the very city centre of Barcelona, on Rambla Catalunya.
So far I never tried the food there but the gin tonics and mojitos are
spectacular. The atmosphere is léger-chic but cozy at the same time, since there is spare lightning and a lot of compfty sofas.
For the sophisticated drinks, gin tonics and cocktails you have to pay from 8-12€ ... but you get a free plate of jelly babies per table!
Every night at midnight a DJ begins spins popular eletro/pop music although you rarely will see people dance in here (the sofas are just too comfty!).
BALIUS
C/ Pujades 196 (Poble Nou)
Metro: Poblenou
open every day: 13:00- 3:00h
Food: 13:00- 22:30h / Cocktails: 17:00- 3:00h
BALIUS is my newest discovery since I moved to the Poble Nou neighbourhood.
This bar located in an old pharmacy/drugstore building is just great to have a relaxed drink and talk with friends or colleagues.
I entered in the bar BALIUS because of their slogan ‘cocktails and vermuths’. They serve fancy long drinks, cocktails and I loved the pure fact that they have a special vermut section on their menu with several local brands and vermuts artesanales.
They also serve sandwiches and tapas, but I was lucky just with a plate of olives and my vermuth.
NOTE!
Balius has been really hyped lately and they seem to shamelessy exploit that fact:
In comparison to their old menu card they actually almost doubled some of their prices (gin tonics, cocktails) and the
vermuths are at least 1€ more expensive each. That's not cool guys!!
I have to look out for other vermuth options in Poble Nou. I'll let you know!
LA CIGALE
C/ Tordera 51 (Gràcia)
Metro: Verdaguer/ Joanic
open every day: 18:00- 2:30h
LA CIGALE (the cricket) is a small restaurant and bar in Gràcia.
The decoration and funiture look like in a very comfy livingroom.
The music is nice and soft, which makes the bar a perfect place for a date or drinks and talks with friends.
Upstairs they have a second floor which they also use for group reservations and closed events.
The food is simple and nothing spectacular (hamburgers and finger food) but gets along quite well with a drink at CIGALE.
Don't trust Tripadvisor, trust me!
Hi, my name is Kristin.
I'm from Germany but for over ten years I have been living, working and eating in Barcelona. Receiving a lot of friends from all over the world I always have been asked for references and recommendations where to enjoy a good meal or having a drink in the city.
